Description
N07718 (AMS 5597) is a high-strength, high-temperature resistant and corrosion resistant 53% Nickel- 19% Chromium alloy. It provides excellent high-temperature strength of up to 650°C, formability, weldability, and good ductility.
Melting Process Route & Applications
This alloy is generally smelt in VIM + Electroslag remelting (ESR). For a purpose of superior quality, it should be smelt via technology of vacuum refining or by agreement. It is suitable for applications such as high tensile shafts, bolts and nuts, gears, pinions spindles and so on.
