XM-19 is a nitrogen-strengthened austenitic stainless steel that is available in an annealed or high strength condition. XM-19 can be used in a wide variety of industries including chemical, marine, nuclear, food processing, petrochemical, sour well service, cryogenic, textile and pulp & paper.
The alloy is usually produced by BEF & AOD followed by electroslag remelting (ESR) if necessary for special purpose.
Bars and, where applicable, forgings are subjected to ultrasonic examination based on the different levels according to the buyers' requirements. Bars are usually supplied black/bright in the annealed condition. Forms and Shapes:
