Description
The alloy is usually produced by BEF & AOD followed by electroslag remelting (ESR) / VAR if necessary for special purpose. Bars and, where applicable, forgings are subjected to ultrasonic examination based on the different levels according to the buyers' requirements, Bars are usually supplied black/bright in the annealed condition.
Tool steel is to fabricate the cutting tool, measuring implement, mould, and wear-resisting tool, it possesses higher hardness and keeps maintaining the high hardness and redhardness under high temperature, and more abrasive resistance, proper toughness. Tool steel is commontly divided into carbon tool steel, alloy tool steel, high speed steel.
